ALA honors PLCMC’s public relations

The newsletter, Web site and other promotional items for PLCMC programs and services have been honored by the American Library Association (ALA).

• The Check it Out monthly newsletter was “Best of Show” in the Newsletter category.
  
• The promotional kit for PLCMC's "brarydog" homework-help Web site – comprised of a brochure, bookmark, magnet, zipper pulls and postcards – was “Best of Show” in the Web Site Promotional Materials category.
  
• And “Zinger's Top Ten” bookmarks – a series of five bookmarks for grades pre-school through sixth – earned an Honorable Mention in the Bibliographies category.

The awards will be presented to PLCMC at the annual ALA convention at the end of May.
