Paper's readers vote public library offerings among “The Best”
Charlotte Observer readers chose two features of the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County among “The Best” things to do and see in Charlotte.
The Virtual Village Computer Center at Main Library was named Best Dark and Amazing Place.” It’s “[s]o cool. The public library has a computer for everyone. Download, edit, compose. Quark it up, learn Linux. It's in the basement. And it's free.” All that according to the Observer.
And PLCMC's Novello Festival of Reading was named "Best Festival." The Observer said: “It gets better every year. Public Library's annual event brings in legends, best sellers and newcomers every fall. WordPlay is the best reason to close off Tryon Street.”
