Library public relations wins 4 NACIO Awards of Excellence
The library's communications department has won 4 Superior Awards in the 2004 NACIO Awards of Excellence. NACIO is the National Association of County Information Officers. Len Keso, the 2004 NACIO Awards Chair, said: "The 2004 NACIO Awards of Excellence Program was very competitive with a new all-time record 541 entries in 34 categories. Awards were given to communicators who demonstrated a standard of excellence in their work." An Awards Banquet will be held on July 16, 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona during the National Association of Counties (NaCo) Annual Conference.
- PLCMC Kids, the children's newsletter, and CiO (Check it Out), the adult and teen newsletter, received Superior Awards in the External Publications category (Cordelia Anderson, Public Relations Coordinator & Sarah Poole, Graphic Designer)
- The news release "Story of Local Woman and WWII Veteran now available at the Library web site www.cmstory.org" received a Superior Award in the Writing category (Cordelia Anderson, Public Relations Coordinator)
- The logo for ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center™ received a Superior Award in the Graphic Design Category (Sarah Poole, Graphic Designer).
