Telephone RenewalLibrary items already checked out may be renewed by phone using Telephone Renewal (704) 336-6237. A touch-tone phone is required and some restrictions apply (please see Renewal Guidelines below). When you call the Renewal Telephone line, you will be asked to supply your library card number in order to access a list of items currently checked out.

Renewal Guidelines
You may renew an item on-line if the item has not been renewed before, and if the item is capable of being renewed.
- Three (3) week renewal is allowed for the following materials:
Circulating print materials not on hold for another patron, compact discs, juvenile kits (book and cassette), foreign language cassette tapes, branch browsing music cassettes, spoken cassettes, and abridged books on tape, unabridged books on tape, CD-ROM software.
- Three (3) day renewal is allowed for the following materials:
Videos (One renewal only)
Note: This includes instructional videos which may have had an initial one-week loan period.
- The following materials may not be renewed:
Interlibrary loans borrowed from another library outside PLCMC, teacher loan items, items on hold for another patron. Rental hardbacks, books on CD and DVDs may not be renewed, but they can be re-rented.
