The Mint Hill Branch Library serves the residents of the town of Mint Hill in addition to numerous surrounding towns and communities. The Branch opened a new 12,000 sqaure foot building in May 1999. Located on Matthews-Mint Hill Road (highway 51) next to the Mint Hill Festival shopping center, the facility offers 20 public access computers, 5 study tables, reading areas for children and adults, a meeting/program room for up to 45 participants, and expanded collections, program offerings and services.
Mint Hill's materials and resources support a wide variety of interests, from books for preschoolers and school-age children to career information and resume books for adults, and almost everything in between. The collection includes audio cassettes, books, Audiotape Books, CD-ROMs, popular magazines, music CDs, DVDs and video cassettes.

Staff and resources provide homework support for students in all grade levels, and general information for all ages.
Youth Programming has a strong emphasis at the Mint Hill branch.

Staff enjoy discussing and recommending reading, listening, and viewing materials, and maintain customized lists to assist patrons with making their next selections.

Strengths of the fiction collection include a large number of titles in General Fiction, Mysteries, and Science Fiction. A temporary collection of Large Print titles are available, with new titles rotated to the Branch every few months.
Strengths of our non-fiction collections include: homework support, gardening, home improvement, decorating, cookbooks, personal finance, small business management, self-improvement, health, religions.
