The Virtual Village Communication Center includes technology ranging from the basic to advanced.

Virtual Village Digital Darkroom – With the digital photography machines you can hook up a digital camera, download the pictures, edit them, burn a photo CD, or print them.

Music Composition – A MIDI controller allows a user to play a keyboard at the computer station. Acid Pro allows a user to build music tracks from samples.

Virtual Village
Video Editing – iMovie and iDVD combined with the Macintosh acclaimed ease of use provide a robust environment for timelines, sequencing and video effects.
  • Video editing and sequencing; capture from digital or analog sources; add titles, soundtracks; burn DVDs.


Adaptive & Assistive Technology Stations - Offering a host of new technologies to aid those with visual disabilities and adaptive access needs, including a Braille station, Eye Gaze, Kurzweil scanning software and more.


Express Stations – These stand-up stations contain all the resources found on our Internet terminals, but are usable for only 15 minutes. Virtual Village

Graphics Stations – Whether you need to edit a picture or use a professional layout tool you can do it on our graphics stations. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Pagemaker and Acrobat are available as well as Macromedia’s Freehand, Quark Xpress, scanners, Zip Drives, and CD-Rs.

Web Stations – Graphics composition and illustration are only two aspects of these computers that also have tools for page design, site management, javascript automation and all the other professional tools to create your own web site. Macromedia’s Fireworks, Freehand, Dreamweaver and Flash are available as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive and LiveMotion. Scanners, Zip Drives, and CD-Rs are all available.

Training Room – We offer introductory computer workshops in our training room. Check the schedule.
