Public Library Fall Film Series - Southern Flavor: Five Films About the South

Fall FIlm Series Sept. 17 - Oct. 29 in ImaginOn’s Wachovia Playhouse

In collaboration with Levine Museum of the New South’s new exhibition, Comic Stripped: A Revealing Look at Southern Stereotypes in Cartoons, PLCMC presents a film series that explores the different ways Hollywood filmmakers have portrayed the South. The first and last films in this series offer unique opportunities to experience silent films as they were originally meant – with live musical accompaniment.
