Annual Fund
We at the Public Library take seriously our commitment to public service and we demonstrate that commitment by being responsive to the community we are honored to serve. Historically, PLCMC has been among the first public libraries in the land to offer new services.
For example:
- A ‘Film and Sound’ collection in the early 40’s.
- A comprehensive collection of ‘books on tape’.
- A collection of public service web sites unmatched by any library in the land. Sites created and maintained by PLCMC staff. Each site designed to address a specific public service objective, from children’s book reviews to bi-lingual story telling, to business reference and home work assistance for the school age population.
- The Virtual Library, in 1995. Honored by the American Library Association as national library of the future.
- E Books and DVD’s for circulation, and much, much, more.
Perhaps you have enjoyed the benefit of many of these products and services? If so, won’t you consider giving to the Library to help us maintain ‘margin of excellence’…….help us be as responsive to the community as we can be.
Your gift will help improve and expand our collections, as well as support new and continued programs for reading and lifelong learning. All Annual Fund contributors receive copies of CIO (Check It Out), the Library’s newsletter. Please join us and help strengthen the empowering resources of your Public Library.
A convenient Pledge Card is available and gifts may be made electronically. You may fill out your Pledge Card online or print it out (Adobe Acrobat Reader required) to be mailed to the Library.
